What is a Full life?
Full is NOT busy (or not necessarily)
John 10:10 NIV “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
KJV uses the word abundantly instead of full.
Greek: perissos which means superabundant in quantity or superior in quality.
So what should our lives be full of to give us a superior quality and if it doesn’t mean busy?
Hope, Love, Faith, Joy, Peace
Matthew 17:20 (faith)
Mark 11:22-24 (faith)
John 14:27 (peace)
John 15:9-12 (love, joy)
Peace…but also hope
Romans 15:13 (hope, peace, joy)
Why a Simple Life
Jesus was the ultimate simplifier.
He had nothing.
Jesus was homeless. He had no worldly possessions to take His focus away from His mission.
He took ten commandments and simplified them to two.
He simplified the way to Heaven.
Before, you had to follow all of the laws.
And versus Or
Embrace your contradictions.
Why not compare?
Different gifts Romans 12:6-8
Light of the World John 8:12
Bread of Life John 6:35
Prince of Peace Isaiah 9:6

The Vine John 15:1

The only OR that I know of in the Bible that really matters is Jesus telling us to choose Him or the World.
Proverbs 13:7 MSG “A pretentious, showy life is an empty life; a plain and simple life is a full life.”
